ISIS, the ancient Egyptian goddess is part if IHS used by the Templars and the Catholic Church and her name means Throne like the one she wears on her head.

ISIS = Popular across Egypt, but her most important temples in the Nile delta were from (380 BCE to 362 BCE), on the island of Philae in Upper Egypt.

ISIS = Egyptian Goddess of health, marriage, & wisdom = A woman, wearing a headdress shaped like a throne and with an Ankh (Resembling a cross but with a Loop and is a Symbol of life) in her hand. Often seen with Horus and Set to form IHS.

ISIS = PART of the polytheistic religion of Egypt. Her worship was spread by Pharoahs to the Roman Empire and beyond with statues across Europe particularly at or near Templar buildings.

ISIS = Still widely worshiped by many pagans today following diverse religions, such as the Fellowship of Isis.

ISIS = Worshipped as the ideal mother and wife and the symbol of nature and magic.

ISIS = Was the friend of slaves, sinners, artisans and the downtrodden, but she also listened to the prayers of the wealthy, maidens, aristocrats and rulers.

ISIS = Often depicted as the mother of Horus, the falcon-headed deity associated with king and kingship.

ISIS = Known as protector of the dead and goddess of children.

ISIS = Her Throne showed she was an important part of pharaoh’s power and the pharaoh was depicted as her child, who sat on the throne she provided.

ISIS MYTH = Was the first daughter of Geb, god of the Earth, and Nut, goddess of the Sky, and she was born on the fourth intercalary day. She married her brother, Osiris, and she conceived Horus with him. Set (Satan) murdered Osiris and so ISIS resurrected Osiris with her magical skills after gathering 13 of the 14 parts Set (Satan) had cut up and spread over the earth. The last piece was the end of his phallus which the fish had eaten. With another GOD, Thoth’s help she created a golden phallus, and attached it to Osiris’s body. This is why many Obelisks seen across Europe and Washington DC (Phalic Symbols) are often composed of 13 Stones stacked high.

ISIS-Osiris myth became popular in Greco-Roman period as the reason for the annual Nile River flood believed to be the tears of sorrow which Isis wept for Osiris. People celebrated Osiris’s rebirth each year through rituals.

ISIS = Spread throughout the Greco-Roman world until the Christian Era suppressed paganism.

ISIS = Popular motif shows he suckling her son Horus, oddly, lived on in a Christianized context as the popular image of Mary suckling her infant son Jesus from the fifth century onward.

ISIS = 3000 BC began the Bronze Age and She wore a wig with 12 serpents.

Greek name for Isis is Aset. In EGYPT her name was written with the signs of a throne seat, a bread loaf, ended with an egg symbol. This likely means “mother goddess”.

ISIS = In 1360 BCE was depicted with outstretched wings on a wall painting.

ISIS = Was also represented as the mother of the “four sons of Horus” who protected the jars containing the pharaoh’s internal organs. = The protector of the liver-jar-deity, Imsety and later to protect nobles and even commoners.

By the Greco-Roman era, the majority of her priests and priestesses had a reputation for wisdom and healing, and were said to have other special powers, including dream interpretation and the ability to control the weather, which they did by braiding or not combing their hair. The Egyptians considered knots to have magical powers.

ISIS and Osiris worship = Continued to 450s years after Christ even after imperial decrees ordered the closing of temples to “pagan” gods.

ISIS = Later Headdress shows the horns of a cow on her head, with the solar disk between them and with throne symbol atop the solar disk.

ISIS = By the Greeks and the Romans, became the most important and most powerful deity of the Egyptian pantheon because of her magical skills. Magic is central to the entire mythology of Isis, arguably more so than any other Egyptian deity. Isis played a central role in Egyptian magic spells and ritual, especially those of protection and curative healing. The Romans made ISIS the Queen of Heaven. After the assassination of Julius Caesar, a temple in honor of Isis was decreed, but was suspended by Augustus as part of his program to restore traditional Roman religion.

ISIS = Temples were built and obelisks erected in her honor. Greeks gad Harbors of Isis on the Arabian Sea and the Black Sea. Plutarch describes Isis as “a goddess exceptionally wise and a lover of wisdom, to whom, as her name at least seems to indicate, knowledge and understanding are in the highest degree appropriate… .”

On the Greek island of Delos, a Doric Temple of Isis was built on a high over-looking hill at the beginning of the Roman period.

Cult of ISIS = Part of the syncretic tendencies of religion in the Greco-Roman world of late antiquity. The sacred image of Isis with the Horus Child in Rome often became a model for the Christian Mary carrying her child Jesus and many of the epithets of the Egyptian Mother of God came to be used for her.

THOTH = Aided in the birth of the original five gods of Egypt = Osiris, Isis, Set, Nephthys, and Horus

THOTH = Egyptian god of writing, magic, wisdom, and the moon = One of the most important gods of ancient Egypt born of the seed of Horus from the forehead of Set deities who represented order and chaos respectively.

THOTH = Also the god of equilibrium and balance

THOTH = Associated closely with the BALANCE goddess Ma’at and sometimes seen as his wife + Consorted with goddess those in need Nehemetawy, a protector goddess.

THOTH = Presided over the judgment of the dead with Osiris in the Hall of the Truth = Those souls not likely to pass judgment had to call upon Thoth for help. He was known as a just and incorruptible judge.

THOTH = Also he consorted with Seshat, goddess of writing, the keeper of books, and patron goddess of libraries and librarians who was alternately his wife or daughter.

THOTH = First Worshiped in Lower Egypt 6000-3150 BCE and continued to 30 BC making Thoth worship among the longest of the Egyptian gods of any civilization.

THOTH = Name was often taken by the kings of Egypt = Tuthmoses is “Born of Thoth”

THOTH = Depicted as a man with the head of an ibis or a seated baboon often with a lunar disc above his head.  The patron god of scribes who always wrote his name first before they began their daily work.

THOTH = Egyptian name was Djehuty = Meaning “He Who is Like the Ibis”, the sacred bird in ancient Egypt.  Birds were a popular pet and associated with wisdom.

THOTH = Lord of the Khemenu and later the city of Hermopolis, his major cult center. The Greeks associated Thoth with their god Hermes so the Greeks Thoth became Hermes Trimegistus or Thoth “Three Times Great, Great”.

THOTH = Story said he was born “from the lips of Ra” at the beginning of creation and was known as the “god without a mother”. Another story was he was self-created at the beginning of time and, as an IBIS bird that lays the cosmic egg which holds all of creation.

IBIS BIRDS = A group of long-legged wading birds that inhabit wetlands, forests and plains.

THOTH = When Horus and Set are fighting for the right to rule, Thoth is said to have been created from the semen of Horus which was accidentally swallowed by Set during the struggle and Thoth was born from Set’s forehead.

TROTH = Chosen by Ra to fetch his distant daughter Goddess back from a remote desert. Thoth accomplished his task through humility, cunning, and perseverance.

THOTH = Helped drive away the serpent Apophis who sought to destroy the sun god.

THOTH = SUPPOSEDLY created the written word people used to record their history and keep track of their daily lives.  But Osiris or Isis gave words to humanity. Thoth kept track of every day’s events as a record keeper.

THOTH = Was also a baboon with the lunar disc on his head seated above a working scribe at his writing desk.

THOTH = Home in the afterlife, the Mansion of Thoth, provided a safe place for souls to rest and receive magic spells to help them against the demons who would prevent them from reaching paradise. His magic revitalized the soul which brought the dead back to life in the underworld.

THOTH = The priests of Thoth were highly educated scribes and his cult was closely associated with the ruling class and monarchy.

THOTH = Even today is an important spiritual entity among Neo-Pagan communities who worship the god = Better known Egyptian deity like  in popular culture, like King Tutankhamun, Queen Nefertiti, and the goddess Bastet.
