JAY: The political revolution must continue, said Bernie Sanders = Theme of Peoples’ Summit.
PARK: I think this is an extraordinary space — amazing and I feel like they’ve really treated the Bernie Sanders supporters in the manner that they should be treated, as people who really deserve to be honored and celebrated…But at the same time I feel like we’re not having some conversations that we need to be having as a movement right now. = Its Framed like the primary and the election is almost over or irrelevant = So go back to focus on same old issues like before the Bernie Sanders movement happened. After all this effort we are expected to give up on the Bernie Sanders platform and Revolution. I know how hard people have worked and I just feel like we need to have a discussion about going forward into the convention, what are we actually doing in Philadelphia? People are trying to organize protests outside the convention. Are we going to leave it to people who are often the most radical and vocal to take the lead on that? That could be a big blemish on this entire effort — It could be like the very end of occupy in a standoff with the riot police.
JAY: Roots Action and some others have been trying to create a network of Bernie delegates, but nothing is planned for the delegates to meet as delegates.
PARK: I’m concerned there’s a lot of things we need to figure out going into the convention, like, how do we put pressure on the democratic party? Not just the platform but holding the DNC & DEM PARTY accountable to follow the platform.
FACT: DNC & DEM PARTY ARE THE CRIMINAL RUN AIPAC MAFIA!
FACT: There’s still uncounted ballots and counties are still flipping to Bernie in California.
FACT: There are things coming out about Hillary Clinton every single day that make people think “WHY IS SHE OUR PRESUMED CANDIDATE?”
PARK: I just feel that the conversation has been too much about just movement building, but I don’t understand why we’re not talking about the tactics and MOST PEOPLE DON’T WANT HILLARY and her side has made NO REAL concessions. But some of the speakers actually call for getting behind Hillary and that makes NO SENSE and is based on FEAR TACTICS about TRUMP! I haven’t heard anyone say, under no condition will I vote for Hillary Clinton. Instead people use (FEAR TACTICS) ”Stop Trump by voting for Hillary” but then how can that keep the movement building alive and growing?
FACT: A HILLARY VOTE DESTROYS THE MOVEMENT AND THE REVOLUTION AND PERPETUATES THE CRIMINAL RUN SYSTEM.
PARK: The relationship we Bernie revolution supporters have with the democratic party feels almost like an abusive relationship where we don’t have a voice!
FACT: The DNC’s been completely antagonistic to the Bernie campaign.
PARK: So if you’re in an abusive relationship, what do you do? Are you going to continue to believe that this person can change and make excuses for the abuses? Or are you going to walk out the door? And I’m at a point personally where I’m walking out the door because I don’t want to make excuses for abuse anymore, for voter suppression and for favoring certain candidates, all the behind the scenes stuff, the corruption, you know, the money
JAY: Some people are proposing a tactic at the convention where a lot of people (DELEGATES) walk out.
PARK: The delegates? The Sanders delegates need to walk out. YES That dramatic! But I don’t want to see is violence anywhere including on the streets. I want this to be about us holding the (CRIMINAL RUN) Democratic Party accountable and to let the country know, we need more options than the two-party system that props up the CRIMINAL oligarchy. We can’t be in a situation that all we do is support this CORRUPT system. We need something else.
JAY: One speaker for Sanders campaign very strongly emphasized the importance of demolishing and smashing the Trump racist, xenophobic splintered cancer that may be duplicated across the country. She called it like whack-a-mole dealing with these guys like Trump. So does that mean hold your nose and vote for Clinton?
PARK: That is like “The Walking Dead,” we’re afraid of more zombies attacking us. But I don’t accept that framing that our enemy is the zombies — The real enemy is the CRIMINAL SYSTEM Hillary represents — NOT SOME TRUMP ZOMBIES! I’m less afraid of people and more afraid of this (MAFIA RUN) SYSTEM that we keep propping up and reinforcing again and again and again. We CANNOT accept Clinton as the nominee. That’s what I’m afraid of.
JAY: Some warn that if there is a real walk out, it would make the whole Democratic Party leadership look dysfunctional and might give some significant support to the Trump campaign.
PARK: I’m concerned, but given that 44% to 50% (depending on the Poll) of Americans are now independents who don’t like the Democratic party or the Republican party, I think the majority of people will welcome another way of doing this — more parties.
JAY: So you mean a third-party candidate, then?
PARK: Yeah. We need more parties, not just the third-party. We need more parties. We need more people saying, we’ve got to do better than this two parties duopoly. We can’t just keep reinforcing it out of fear of zombies. My fear is not with Trump wannabes. My fear is with the CRIMINAL RUN oligarchy!
