As bureaucracies mature they go into a self-defense mode to keep jobs & budgets

Compulsion to self-protect = Reason CIA spying on a Senate committee is to BLOCK accountability for Torture + Rendition = War crimes.

Senators are prone to self-defense shares BLAME for CIA and NSA VIOLATIONS OF OUR DEMOCRACY AND VALUES = torture, secret prisons, rendition, clandestine as well as open wars, domestic spying, and targeted killing drone attacks

Edward Snowden = Senate committee is hypocritical = Never objected to mass spying and other indignities inflicted on ordinary American citizens in the “global war on terror.”

The torture took place ten years ago, and no one has been punished for it. Report on CIA torture by the Senate committee staff FINALLY EXPOSES THE FACTS of its ILLEGAL INEFFECTIVENESS.

Curiously = Neither side suggests DOJ + CIA senior managers + Bush White House officials = Who authorized the torture = SHOULD BE PROSECUTED = Held accountable in any way.

Americans agree = CIA MUST be overseen by elected officials + Should NOT be allowed to magnify threats = Argument for reducing constitutional liberties and crimes against humanity

CIA + CONGRESS = HAVE FAILED AMERICANS AND OUR CONSTITUTION

IT IS TIME TO HOLD PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE AND PROSECUTE + REMOVE LAWS THAT VIOLATE OUR FREEDOMS AND CONSTITUTION = REMOVE MOST OF PATRIOT ACT + OTHER EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGES AND ORDERS AND LAWS THAT ALLOWED THIS TRAVESTY TO HAPPEN + REMOVE THE BLACK SITES INCLUDING GITMO.
