POPE FRANCIS ON THE MASSIVE IMBALANCE OF PROFIT OVER HUMANITY

UPDATE: Moral authority comes from being on the side of the oppressed and not the oppressor.

The rich will always be rich!

Degeneracy = being obscenely rich when confronted by the knowledge that poverty is growing and wealth is condensing into fewer and fewer hands.

POPE FRANCIS HELPING POOR

Helping the LEAST AMONG US!

50+% of Worlds assets = In haves of a couple of thousand people while poverty spreads and grows at an accelerating pace.

The entire world needs a priority reality check.

Blind adulation of their wealth = Has become HATRED of those who ROB and EXPLOIT!

Koch brothers + Sheldon Adelson = Pledged to buy what’s left of democracy as a way to minimize their tax burden, push their own EXTREME Agendas to MAX LOOTING

Koch brothers = Buy and fund think tanks = Emotive propaganda machines to SELL LIES to people and deliver NOTHING = In fact without even believing in it themselves.

Pope Francis = Teaches the the TRUTH of helping the poor.

Right Wing Televangelization of a faith of greed in America and West = A shameful policy of redemption as self righteous people do vile things, feel contempt for the less fortunate, model their lives on prejudices and malice but feel that they deserve redemption through prayer = PHONY CONTRITION = Is their God blind to who they really are? Hardly but they think so!

Right Wing Televangelization = Lost their religion of loving, forgiving, accepting and tolerating others while helping the least among providing dignity and being pro diplomacy and pro freedom. = Pope Francis teaches us all the right path!

Right Wing Televangelization = Allows setting up factories in places like Bangladesh where indentured workers who borrowed a small sum find themselves as slaves making the clothes and shoes for pennies shipped to the WEST who charge 1,000s of TIMES more to the Western Public and create MORE $BILLIONAIRES that hide most of their money in offshore bank accounts.

Right Wing Televangelization = People who run corporations that need war to profit from so they buy politicians that rush to war, see Halliburton.

Right Wing Televangelization = People who stifle innovative new technologies that are energy efficient and clean while demanding subsidies for massively profitable businesses that pay no tax, see big oil.

Right Wing Televangelization = Banks that knowingly sell off junk bundled securities as triple A rated secure, knowing they are worthless. See the 2008 Wall Street collapse and the ensuing great recession.

UPDATE:  Pope Francis warned “protagonists” of mafia violence = YOU’RE going to Hell = Unless you repent

Pope Francis warned mobsters to renounce their “blood-stained money and blood-stained power, you can’t bring it with you to your next life. Repent. There’s still time to not end up in Hell, which is what awaits you if you continue on this path.” = “this life that you live now won’t give you pleasure. It won’t give you joy or happiness.”

Francis spoke to relatives of 842 Victims killed by the mafia.

Ezekiel 16:49-50, “This was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.” Pope Francis is right!

A MAJOR PATH CORRECTION IS COMING TO AMERICA AND THE WORLD!

“Money has to serve, not to rule.”

  — Pope Francis I  denounced the global financial system, blasting the “cult of money” that is tyrannizing the poor and turning humans into expendable consumer goods.

LONG LIVE GREED! – THE GREED MUST END!

‘If Banks Fail It is A Tragedy, If People Die Of Hunger It’s Nothing’

“Today, and it breaks my heart to say it, finding a homeless person who has died of cold, is not news. Today, the news is scandals, that is news, but the many children who don’t have food – that’s not news. This is grave. We can’t rest easy while things are this way.”

 — Pope Francis I

“No to an economy of exclusion.”

 — Pope Francis I

POPE FRANCIS AND EDWARD SNOWDEN ARE BOTH HEROS TO THE REAL PEOPLE OF THE WORLD!

Very different Reasons:

POPE – PERSON OF THE YEAR:  FOCUS ON ENDING THE GREED ERA WITH A NEW HUMANITARIAN ERA!

SNOWDEN:  FOCUS ON ENDING THE MULTI-NATIONAL BILLIONAIRE WMD/WAR LIES AND SCAMS ERA!

“Just as the commandment “Thou shalt not kill” sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value of human life, today we also have to say ‘thou shalt not’ to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills. How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses two points? This is a case of exclusion. Can we continue to stand by when food is thrown away while people are starving? This is a case of inequality. Today everything comes under the laws of competition and the survival of the fittest, where the powerful feed upon the powerless. As a consequence, masses of people find themselves excluded and marginalized: without work, without possibilities, without any means of escape.”

 — Pope Francis I

Economic inequality is the root cause of all the world’s problems

“Inequality is the root of social ills … as long as the problems of the poor are not radically resolved by rejecting the absolute autonomy of markets and financial speculation and by attacking the structural causes of inequality, no solution will be found for the world’s problems or, for that matter, to any problems. … The majority of our contemporaries are barely living from day to day, with dire consequences. A number of diseases are spreading. The hearts of many people are gripped by fear and desperation, even in the so-called rich countries. The joy of living frequently fades, lack of respect for others and violence are on the rise, and inequality is increasingly evident. It is a struggle to live and, often, to live with precious little dignity. … The current model, with its emphasis on success and self-reliance, does not appear to favor an investment in efforts to help the slow, the weak or the less talented to find opportunities in life.”

 — Pope Francis I

TRICKLE DOWN = A GAINT LIE LIKE WMDs

“Human beings are themselves considered consumer goods to be used and then discarded. We have created a “throw away” culture which is now spreading. It is no longer simply about exploitation and oppression, but something new. Exclusion ultimately has to do with what it means to be a part of the society in which we live; those excluded are no longer society’s underside or its fringes or its disenfranchised – they are no longer even a part of it. The excluded are not the “exploited” but the outcast, the “leftovers”.

In this context, some people continue to defend trickle-down theories which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and inclusiveness in the world. This opinion, which has never been confirmed by the facts, expresses a crude and naïve trust in the goodness of those wielding economic power and in the sacralized workings of the prevailing economic system. Meanwhile, the excluded are still waiting. To sustain a lifestyle which excludes others, or to sustain enthusiasm for that selfish ideal, a globalization of indifference has developed. Almost without being aware of it, we end up being incapable of feeling compassion at the outcry of the poor, weeping for other people’s pain, and feeling a need to help them, as though all this were someone else’s responsibility and not our own. The culture of prosperity deadens us; we are thrilled if the market offers us something new to purchase. In the meantime all those lives stunted for lack of opportunity seem a mere spectacle; they fail to move us.”

 — Pope Francis I

“No to the new idolatry of money.” — Pope Francis I

Stunning ignorance = Pope professes christian values of charity = called “marxist”

Pope’s courage of his convictions in a world where many claim to be “good christians” ChINOs

Pope Francis sees the poor as human beings and feels their pain, ameliorating it.

Pope understands that social justice is the surest ways to lift people from poverty.

Pope promotes a wonderful sense of community that we have lost

Pope is gently bringing a sense of right and wrong back to public discourse.

Pope is a breath of fresh air and leader to a troubled institution that moved away from its people and their spiritual beliefs.

Pope’s message of charity, tolerance, social justice and love for all people should be taken to heart.

“One cause of this situation is found in our relationship with money, since we calmly accept its dominion over ourselves and our societies. The current financial crisis can make us overlook the fact that it originated in a profound human crisis: the denial of the primacy of the human person! We have created new idols. The worship of the ancient golden calf (cf. Ex 32:1-35) has returned in a new and ruthless guise in the idolatry of money and the dictatorship of an impersonal economy lacking a truly human purpose. The worldwide crisis affecting finance and the economy lays bare their imbalances and, above all, their lack of real concern for human beings; man is reduced to one of his needs alone: consumption.

While the earnings of a minority are growing exponentially, so too is the gap separating the majority from the prosperity enjoyed by those happy few. This imbalance is the result of ideologies which defend the absolute autonomy of the marketplace and financial speculation. Consequently, they reject the right of states, charged with vigilance for the common good, to exercise any form of control. A new tyranny is thus born, invisible and often virtual, which unilaterally and relentlessly imposes its own laws and rules. Debt and the accumulation of interest also make it difficult for countries to realize the potential of their own economies and keep citizens from enjoying their real purchasing power. To all this we can add widespread corruption and self-serving tax evasion, which have taken on worldwide dimensions. The thirst for power and possessions knows no limits. In this system, which tends to devour everything which stands in the way of increased profits, whatever is fragile, like the environment, is defenseless before the interests of a deified market, which become the only rule.”

“The poor and the poorer peoples are accused of violence yet without equal opportunities the different forms of aggression and conflict will find a fertile terrain for growth and eventually explode. When a society—whether local, national, or global—is willing to leave a part of itself on the fringes, no political programs or resources spent on law enforcement or surveillance systems can indefinitely guarantee tranquility.”

“Even today we raise our hand against our brother… We have perfected our weapons, our conscience has fallen asleep, and we have sharpened our ideas to justify ourselves as if it were normal we continue to sow destruction, pain, death. Violence and war lead only to death.”

“These days there is a lot of poverty in the world, and that’s a scandal when we have so many riches and resources to give to everyone. We all have to think about how we can become a little poorer.”

 –Pope Francis I

“Throwing food away is like stealing from the tables of the the poor, the hungry! I encourage everyone to reflect on the problem of thrown away and wasted food to identify ways and means that, by seriously addressing this issue, are a vehicle of solidarity and sharing with the needy.”

“Man is not in charge today, money is in charge, money rules. God our Father did not give the task of caring for the earth to money, but to us, to men and women: we have this task! Instead, men and women are sacrificed to the idols of profit and consumption: it is the ‘culture of waste.'”

‘Slave Labor Goes Against God’

“A headline that really struck me on the day of the tragedy in Bangladesh was ‘Living on 38 euros a month’. That is what the people who died were being paid. This is called slave labor….

Not paying fairly, not giving a job because you are only looking at balance sheets, only looking at how to make a profit. That goes against God!”

“No to a financial system which rules rather than serves

Behind this attitude lurks a rejection of ethics and a rejection of God. Ethics has come to be viewed with a certain scornful derision. It is seen as counterproductive, too human, because it makes money and power relative. It is felt to be a threat, since it condemns the manipulation and debasement of the person. In effect, ethics leads to a God who calls for a committed response which is outside the categories of the marketplace. When these latter are absolutized, God can only be seen as uncontrollable, unmanageable, even dangerous, since he calls human beings to their full realization and to freedom from all forms of enslavement. Ethics – a non-ideological ethics – would make it possible to bring about balance and a more humane social order. With this in mind, I encourage financial experts and political leaders to ponder the words of one of the sages of antiquity: ‘Not to share one’s wealth with the poor is to steal from them and to take away their livelihood. It is not our own goods which we hold, but theirs.’ [Saint John Chrysostom, De Lazaro Concio, II, 6: PG 48, 992D.]

A financial reform open to such ethical considerations would require a vigorous change of approach on the part of political leaders. I urge them to face this challenge with determination and an eye to the future, while not ignoring, of course, the specifics of each case. Money must serve, not rule! The Pope loves everyone, rich and poor alike, but he is obliged in the name of Christ to remind all that the rich must help, respect and promote the poor. I exhort you to generous solidarity and to the return of economics and finance to an ethical approach which favors human beings.”

 — Pope Francis I “The Joy of the Gospel.”

“No to the inequality which spawns violence . . . .

Today’s economic mechanisms promote inordinate consumption, yet it is evident that unbridled consumerism combined with inequality proves doubly damaging to the social fabric. Inequality eventually engenders a violence which recourse to arms cannot and never will be able to resolve. It serves only to offer false hopes to those clamoring for heightened security, even though nowadays we know that weapons and violence, rather than providing solutions, create new and more serious conflicts. Some simply content themselves with blaming the poor and the poorer countries themselves for their troubles; indulging in unwarranted generalizations, they claim that the solution is an “education” that would tranquilize them, making them tame and harmless. All this becomes even more exasperating for the marginalized in the light of the widespread and deeply rooted corruption found in many countries – in their governments, businesses and institutions – whatever the political ideology of their leaders.”

 — Pope Francis I “The Joy of the Gospel.”

Pope Francis made New Year 2014 urged people to work for a world where everyone accepts each other’s differences and where enemies recognize that they are brothers.

“We are all children of one heavenly father, we belong to the same human family and we share a common destiny.

This brings a responsibility for each to work so that the world becomes a community of brothers who respect each other, accept each other in one’s diversity, and takes care of one another.

What is happening in the heart of man? What is happening in the heart of humanity?  It’s time to stop.

I, too, believe that it will be good for us to stop ourselves in this path of violence and search for peace….the gospel of brotherhood speak to every conscience and knock down the walls that impede enemies from recognizing that they are brothers….Not an illusory hope based on frail human promises, or a naive hope which presumes that the future will be better simply because it is the future….

We are also called to see the violence and injustices present in so many parts of the world, and which cannot leave us indifferent and immobile.  There is the need for the commitment of all to build a society that is truly more just and united….the cry of peace from peoples who are oppressed by war and by violence, the courage of dialogue and reconciliation prevail over the temptation for vendetta, arrogance, corruption.”

Pope Francis = Massive problem for GOP who constantly search for new arguments for being SELFISH and “Every man for himself!

GOP = Hate the “social gospel” and “socialism” that the church and government must care for “the least of these.”

Pope Francis = “We’re all in this together, we should help each other.” = A liberating message directly from Jesus said in Matthew 25, “I was hungry, and you fed me. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was homeless, a stranger, you took me in. Whatever you have done for even the least of these, you have done it for me.”

Can you be a “Conservative Christian?” = IMPOSSIBLE if by “Conservative” you mean SELFISH!

Christ Teaching is like President Madison said:

“To provide for the employment of the poor and support for the indigent is among the primary . . . cares of the public authority.”

FURMAN ADMITS INEQUALITY IS INCREASING IN AMERICA = “While the trends may continue to shift in that direction, a more important factor to date has been the inequality within labor income (THERE GOES THE SUPER-STAR ATHLETE BULL CHIOT AGAIN), and while Piketty implicitly takes this to be fixed (FURMAN ARM WAVING WITH ZERO FACTS), there is no a priori basis to predict whether it will rise or fall in the future because it is a function of unpredictable technological developments, norms, institutions and public policies.” FRAUDULENT POLICIES BRIBED FOR BY THE RICH = THAT ROB THE MIDDLE CLASS TO REWARD THE 425 MULTINATIONAL $BILLIONAIRES!

FURMAN IS SIMPLY SAYING = THERE IS ONE CHANCE IN HECK HE IS WRONG = ZERO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT FURMAN!

FURMAN WITHOUT ANY SUBSTANTIATION SPECULATES THAT = “when growth rates fall, the ratio of capital to income rises, and the increased prevalence of capital drives down the rate of return on capital.” GROWTH WILL ALWAYS DECLINE FASTER THAN RETURN ON CAPITAL AS INTEREST USURY RATES ARE OFTEN LOCKED IN FOR DECADES!

FURMAN WITHOUT ANY SUBSTANTIATION SPECULATES THAT = “Whether the return on capital falls more or less than the growth rate depends on how substitutable capital and labor are, with less substitutability meaning that the extra capital will be less useful, thus driving its return down more.” MUMBOOO GUMMBOOOO SPECULATION = NO FACTS BUT PIKETTY HAS FACTS!

FURMAN SPECULATES = SLOWING GROWTH = LOWER RETURN ON CAPITAL = BUT THEY BOTH DECLINE SO PIKETTY IS STILL CORRECT ON HIS RATIOS!

FURMAN says, “It is possible (HECK IT COULD SNOW IN PALM SPRING IN JULY BUT IT WILL NOT) that lower growth would lead the rate of return on capital to fall even more rapidly, which would “push in the direction of less inequality.” = 1 CHANCE in 5 TRILLION BAZILLION!
