2014 Oct 14 — CANADA + USA = SUPPORTED NAZISM WITH UN VOTE = REST OF THE WORLD SAID NO!

Ukraine has a significant FASCIST HISTORY of MURDER and NAZI-STYLE PRISON CAMPS and the current government has some of them involved so USA and CANADA is supporting these Fascists.

US, Canada, and Ukraine vote against UN resolution condemning “glorification of Nazism” Nov 21, 2014 — UN resolution on “Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.”

2014 October 14 — Thousands marched in several Ukrainian cities to mark the anniversary of the founding of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), the WWII organization which collaborated with Nazi Germany and carried out genocide against Poles and Jews. President Poroshenko declared the day a national holiday.

Ukraine has monuments to Nazi leaders still in prominent places so of course, they don’t honor the following Paragraph: “Expresses deep concern about the glorification, in any form, of the Nazi movement, neo-Nazism and former members of the Waffen SS organization, including by erecting monuments and memorials and holding public demonstrations in the name of the glorification of the Nazi past, the Nazi movement and neo-Nazism, as well as by declaring or attempting to declare such members and those who fought against the anti-Hitler coalition and collaborated with the Nazi movement participants in national liberation movements;”

A paper by professor Timothy Snyder published by MIT gives the following description of the way in which the Poles were massacred by UPA forces: “On a single day, 11 July 1943, the UPA attacked 167 localities and killed about 10,000 Poles.  Ukrainian partisans burned homes, shot or forced back inside those who tried to flee, and used sickles and pitchforks to kill those they captured outside.  In some cases, beheaded, crucified, dismembered, or disemboweled bodies were displayed, in order to encourage remaining Poles to flee.”

NAZIS GLORIFIED IN UKRAINE = SS Galicia Division of Ukrainian volunteers and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), which collaborated with the nazis.

Ukrainian justification was to SHIFT FOCUS AWAY FROM THE MUDER OF 6+ MILLION by the NAZIS to Stalin instead for voting FOR NAZISM in UN official minutes: “the representative of Ukraine said Stalinism had killed many people in the Gulag, condemning Hitler and Stalin alike as international criminals.  Calling on the Russian Federation to stop glorifying and feeding Stalinism, he said he could not support the draft text.”

USA Samantha Powers said she had “abhorrence for attempts to promote Nazi ideology, and condemning all forms of religious or ethnic hatred.”

2014 Far right Svoboda Party has three ministers in the current government that “recognize the (NAZI) UPA as fighters for Ukrainian freedom”. At the head of the march were party MP Irina Fahrion and other members of the party’s volunteer battalion in their military uniforms. — She said, “we have only one way – to destroy Moscow.” She quoted Hitler saying: “Hitler was right when he said that wars are won before the outbreak of hostilities, wars are won when the teacher will suffer defeat and when the priest will suffer defeat.”

Svoboda in Parliament pushed NAZI SUPPORT “Law on recognition of Ukrainian Nationalists and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army belligerent in World War II for the freedom and independence of Ukraine (№2111a)”. The proposal got 220 votes, but failed required 226 votes as a large number of MPs were absent, but the following parties voted in favor: UDAR (the party of Kyiv’s Mayor Klitschko and electoral ally of president Poroshenko), Tymoshenko’s Fatherland party, the far right Svoboda, as well as the smalled “European sovereign Ukraine”. = All the parties in the current government were in favor of the proposal, including the Rada speaker Turchynov. President Poroshenko, decided to declare October 14 as a national holiday to mark the “heroes of the struggle for Ukrainian independence.” On September 26, Poroshenko had already tweeted: “UPA soldiers – an example of heroism and patriotism to Ukraine.” UPA collaborated closely with the Nazis during WWII and carried out a genocide of Poles in Western Ukraine and a massacre of Jews.

During the discussion of the proposal in Parliament, hundreds of masked and armed fascists carrying Svoboda, Right Sector and other flags, gathered outside, presumably in order to “encourage” the parlamentarians. Unhappy with the failure to get the motion discussed they clash with the police, using flares, stunt grenades, metal bars and chains, etc. There were several injured as a result of the violent clashes.

Despite the fact that many of those present were carrying Svoboda flags and that the party’s twitter account had been boasting about it, later on in the day representatives of Svoboda, the Azov regiment and Turchynov himself, all disassociated themselves from the violence, which they put down to a “provocation of the Russian secret service”!.

There was also a separate demonstration called by even more far right elements in the Azov Regiment, led by the neo-nazi Social Nationalist Assembly, and the fascist Right Sector. They were also marching in military formation, with military uniforms and carrying torches.
