Nato’s Secretary General Stoltenberg said, “…a welcome step towards what I hope will be a durable, and peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine.

VP of EU Commission Mogherini said = New sanctions against Russia were unlikely at EU summit in Brussels + Will focus on how “all possible EU means” can be activated to help sustain the ceasefire deal.

President Hollande & Chancellor Merkel = KEY TO DEAL = Invested time and effort with Putin and Poroshenko = Reportedly without Washington.

At same time Kerry was visiting Kiev to negotiate NOW IRRELEVANT weapons for Ukraine army = USA claims only “defensive” weapons involved

USA = Alleges a Russian military’s presence in Ukraine = Unsubstantiated claims = Rebuffed repeatedly by Moscow.

Ukrainian experts = Stated they have not observed any Russian military activity or troops during inspection held on Russia’s southern border with Feb 9-12.
