Iranian Oil Imports to the U.S. = Sanctions ban the importation of Iranian petroleum directly to the U.S. and indirectly through third countries. However, if the Iranian oil is exported to Europe and refined into gasoline or various petrochemicals, it can be legally imported to the U.S.

Should U.S. sanctions be updated to bar the importation of crude oil, refined petroleum, and other petroleum byproducts, if they were produced using Iranian origin oil?
