A NEW AMERICAN CENTURY BUILT ON 21st CENTURY THINKING NOT 20th CENTURY MISTAKES!

A NEW AMERICAN CENTURY BUILT ON 21st CENTURY THINKING NOT 20th CENTURY MISTAKES!

FACT: Bush invaded Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction (WMD) — OOPS!

FACT: Bush negotiated the withdrawal date for troops in Iraq but somehow Obama is a fault.

FACT: ISIS(L) = Funded by Big Oil Monarchs is the newest Version of AQ Contract Killers which was also funded by Saudi and other Oil Monarchs which carries forward the Wahhabi Violent Murderous far Right-Wing philosophy of dictatorship and Overwhelming Violence to intimidate and dominate using decapitation and torture and extreme violence such as rape and murder to strike fear in the hearts of their ENEMIES!

American Test for foreign policy is our Nation’s Best national interest? Not what is best for other nations like Iraq or Israel.

America’s vital strategic interests in the Middle East no longer includes oil or Israel. We have excess dirty energy in America and are building solar and wind power which is growing exponentially and we have electric cars that don’t use gasoline. Millions of jobs will be needed to further develop the efficiency of green energy and solve our planets growing climate problems.

Solar-and-Wind

FACT: Terrorism kills less Americans than lightening or accidental suffocation. So police it and stop it when economically feasible.

America does not need to defend one middle east sect from another sect in endless wars and oil is becoming less and less a factor. So American interests are to Nation Build at home and educate Americans for the future needs of people. NO more wasteful Middle Class draining wars that sap $Trillions from our Well-Being and from our children’s future.

America has no reason to re-engage in Iraq or elsewhere in the Middle-East. We should minimize our footprint there and minimize the number of Americans at risk. Destroying nations to exploit them was a model of the 20th century and with new energy sources and climate change we must focus on survival and prosperity in the 21st century.

Preventing foreign terrorists from entering our shores is a technical challenge that we are addressing and should not be ignored, but it cannot infringe upon our individual rights and freedoms or cost the middle class its quality of life.

Israel has become far too much of a liability for America and we must gradually remove our military and other support to reasonable levels matching other nations population of approximately 50% Arabs and 50% Jews by 2016 with Palestinians surpassing 50% in 2020. [Currently 5.8 million Palestinians and 6.0 million Jews]. The conflicts in the Middle East have cost the American Middle Class $6+ Trillion and 8,170+ dead troops and hundreds of thousands with injuries and other problems. Nation building was a total failure in the Middle East and America’s Urban and Rural areas must be rebuilt and improved — especially our bankrupting Higher educational system and our poverty ridden secondary schools.

IRAQ’s was a total failure as a democracy that can protect itself. 65,000 American-trained and equipped Iraqi soldiers dropped their uniforms and weapons and armored vehicles and ran from 2,000 ISIS (OIL MONARCH) trained Mercenaries. They refused to fight for their own freedoms. America should bring home as many of our 20,000 civilians stationed in Iraq as feasible as they are vulnerable to ISIS to avoid losses like in war torn Libya where the same mercenaries are creating crisis upon crisis. Yes our nation-building abroad experiment was in vain — A TOTAL FAILURE — and now we must cut our losses and prepare for our Century ahead while protecting our borders.

Americans are war-weary and broke on wars of choice based on attacks sponsored by Big Oil Monarchs and it is time to STOP this drain on our Society and damage to other foreign societies. George Washington said: “My ardent desire is…to comply strictly with all our engagements foreign and domestic; but to keep the United States free from political connections with every other Country. To see that they may be independent of all, and under the influence of none. In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of Europe may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home.”

There is no U.S. military solution for Iraq so we need to wean ourselves and our multinationals off middle east oil and concentrate our energies on building green energy as we help solve the world’s climate problems.

America needs a completely NEW 21st Century set of policies free from 20th century mentality as “THE WORLD’S POLICE.” The conditions and technologies are perfect for a prosperous next American Century. So lets BUILD A NEW AMERICA for Our Children!

Americans must unite and Americans must again run our Nation, NOT MULTINATIONAL MONOPOLY CORPORATIONS.  Unite and strike for a week or if necessary a month of NO WORK and only buying the absolute necessities of life.  We have the power for a peaceful revolution that empowers the PEOPLE AGAIN in our pocketbook choices.

EITHER you are not involved in political life or YOU ARE MANIPULATED AND DOMINATED.  That is the SAD CHOICE!  LACK OF INVOLVEMENT is what the MULTINATIONAL BILLIONAIRE CRIMINALS COUNT ON TO RUN AMERICA AS THEIR SCAM-BASED PROFIT GENERATOR!

NYT BIASED? New York Times Runs Ad Equating ISIS to Hamas

New York Times Runs Ad Equating ISIS and Hamas

Robert Naiman is Policy Director and Editor of Just Foreign Policy.

Click for Source Interview on The Real News Network

Lia Tarachansky is an Israeli-Russian journalist with The Real News Network reporting on Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. She is the director of On the Side of the Road, a documentary on Israel’s biggest taboo – the events of 1948 when the state was created.

Interviewer: JAISAL NOOR, TRNN PRODUCER: The NYT ran a full-page ad that puts photos of ISIS and Hamas side-by-side. An ISIS militant is standing next to the murdered journalist James Foley. The other photo shows Hamas next to hooded figures they purportedly executed for collaboration. The ad was funded by pro-Zionist rabbi Shmuley Boteach and goes on to say, quote, “If the UN is looking for genocide to investigate, here it is. Not in Israel”, and “Ban Ki-moon should focus on real genocides in the Middle East, stop persecuting Israel the region’s only democracy, and stop making suckers of the American taxpayer.”

NOOR: What do you make of this comparison between ISIS and Hamas?

ROBERT NAIMAN: The key distinction between Hamas and ISIS is Hamas has demands that can be addressed and met. = Hamas made concrete demands like end the blockade of Gaza = That demand could be met. The Norwegian government says the same thing. Hamas is a political group that can be accommodated politically and diplomatically.

ISIS and AQ don’t have a concrete agenda. ISIS is a group which apparently cannot be accommodated politically or diplomatically.

NOOR: Reality doesn’t line up with Israel’s view that all Islamic forces are a monolithic threat.

LIA TARACHANSKY: The Palestinian resistance to Israel is tied to the occupation ended with the signing of the Oslo agreements — Step forward to ending Palestinian resistance. But if people are fighting for their freedom, so if you give them their freedom they stop fighting.

TARACHANSKY: 1996 Netanyahu was running for office and released a book that said the entire Arab world is one dangerous mass of terrorists and that sooner or later the U.S. will witness a huge terror attack (6 YEARS LATER) — Then the USA will understand that Israel is not fighting Palestinians because the Palestinians want freedom from the occupation, but that the Palestinians are a part of a big network just fighting the West for ideological reasons. “9ll was good for us.” — Netanyahu

TARACHANSKY: Netanyahu’s ideology = You fight the Palestinians + Fight any enemy at all times + War forever + War to regain quiet + War to end rockets + War to keep airport open + War to fight the tunnels + War to fight Hamas + War to bring Hamas to its knees + War to show the world that Israel is NOT weak + War to Stop Iran + War to STOP ISIS one country over = So from Netanyahu in 1996 to today has used this WAR language used by much of the parliament today, = A monolithic enemy + Everyone is the enemy + We need unlimited support forever.

TARACHANSKY: If you look behind the scenes, Iran has actually been fighting against ISIS. Hamas is a Party made up of 6 movements. Hamas in Arabic = Means the Islamic movement or a coalition that was elected in 2006 and could have easily instituted sharia law, but they never did. The main reason why they’re fighting Israel is obviously not for Islamic reasons.

NOOR: Was NYT Ad appropriate or was it hate speech?

NAIMAN: It’s important for all of us to respect the First Amendment. We’re seeing in Urbana, Steven Salaita fired by the University of Illinois for sharp criticism on Twitter of Israel’s war on Gaza. So I’m not going to say that NYT should suppress that free speech. I am more concerned that NYT is open to the views of people who think that we should be pursuing a political and diplomatic solution to end the confrontation between Israel and Gaza and the Gaza blockade.

NOOR: Does NYT running this ad reflect how they cover the Israeli-Palestine conflict?

NAIMAN: They would say the ad is a business decision with maybe some editorial oversight. I think there’s much more interesting things to do in terms of challenging NYT’s coverage of the region then challenging them on this ad. In particular how this could be resolved like confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah was resolved since 2006. We know if the blockade of Gaza is not resolved, sets the stage for another violent confrontation in the future. END THE WARS IS THE ISSUE! Demonizing Hamas by Israel is not going to end the blockade of Gaza.

NAIMAN: We know the central cause of the recent military confrontation was the Israeli-Egyptian economic blockade of 1.8 million Palestinians in Gaza. That can be resolved right now, this month, with diplomacy and politics, with a diplomat improvement that ends the blockade of Gaza and removes this is a source of violent conflict in the future.

TARACHANSKY: When I was a child we talked about ending the occupation so that we can have peace. Today, the education system has completely internalized this worldview. People in their early 20s don’t even understand that the reason the Palestinians are fighting them is because of the occupation and because of 60 years of this dispossession and displacement and Robbery of LAND. Recent Robbery of 4,000 square kilometers of land today as punishment by the ISRAEL in the West Bank for the kidnapping and killing of the three teenagers. = Excuse Netanyahu used to murder 2,2OO+ Palestinians.

A huge part of land just west of Bethlehem, hugging the Green Line. Israelis don’t see the connection between that LAND GRAB and the entire war against the Palestinians. But it is very clear that Israel is using the this to basically ROB more land. Palestinian fight is for land and for self-determination = Completely lost because of this concept of monolithic eternal enemy that doesn’t have a face.

FINKELSTEIN BOOK = “KNOWING TOO MUCH: WHY THE AMERICAN JEWISH ROMANCE IS COMING TO AN END

FINKELSTEIN = “Knowing Too Much: Why the American Jewish Romance with Israel is Coming to an End” by Norman G. Finkelstein

FINKELSTEIN = In past, American Jews were mostly liberal and were 2nd to African-Americans in voting Democratic. Since 1960s, Despite Israel’s record of militarism, illegal settlements, and human rights violations, American Jews have remained steadfast supporters of the Jewish “homeland.”

NORMAN FINKELSTEIN = Explains that the facts that have come out over the last 50 years caused support for Israel to begin to fray as it becomes clear the Israeli State is NOT LIBERAL or FREE.

FACTS SOURCES:

Reports by Human Rights Watch
Reports from Amnesty International
Reports from the United Nations
Books by President Jimmy Carter + Stephen Walt + John Mearsheimer + Peter Beinart

FACT: Erosion of support for Israel has declined markedly among younger members of the community to only 25% of those UNDER AGE 40 who “FEEL VERY MUCH” connected to ISRAEL = 2010 Brandeis University Poll.

FACTS:
76% of Israeli Jews want a two state solution
76% don’t thinks it will happen in their lifetime because of Likud and Netanyahu.
A majority of Israelis wants to see a peaceful outcome.

FINKELSTEIN = uses facts and the historic record to destroy the lies of Israeli defenders like Jeffrey Goldberg, Michael Oren, Dennis Ross and Benny Morris. Growing numbers of American Jews are seeing the speciousness of their arguments and recognize Israel’s record as simply indefensible.

FINKELSTEIN = opens new possibilities for political advancement in a region that for decades has been stuck fast in a gridlock of injustice and suffering.

FACT: American Jewish community has many racist characteristics and has supported the war on Palestinians.

FINKELSTEIN analyzes this racism from the founding of the State of Israel and documents the passive attitude of most American Jews towards Israel during the 1940s and 1950s. The shift begins with the 1967 war when Israel carried out premeditated attacks on its Arab neighbors while pretending innocence and claiming a constant threat upon Jews. Next came the occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, Sinai, and the Golan which the American Jewish community watched and called the “great achievements” the Israeli army = Finally, American Jews were able to be “proud” of Israel and Israel became a source of inspiration and a leading factor in American Jewish life = The “light unto nations.”

FINKELSTEIN = Criticisms of Israel and its policies were greatly suppressed within America and around the world to a point that criticism was (and still now) considered anti-Semitic or “self hating.”

FINKELSTEIN = This atmosphere of suppression of facts and accentuation of only the Israeli Government mythology created a newly found love affair. A plethora of “authoritative” books by prominent American Jews and their sympathizers were held in high regard as they coincided with key events in the history where Israel was rightly being condemned for massive atrocities in the occupied territories and foreign countries such as Lebanon.

1987 First Intifada = The American Jewish community found it impossible to ignore the FACTS of massive and gross violations of basic human rights of Palestinians in particular and other Arabs living under constant Israeli domination.

1987 Human Rights Groups began springing up in Israel, Europe, the United Nations. = They simply made it impossible to maintain the same fantasy of a “light unto nations” that forcefully dictated the discussion since 1967.

FINKELSTEIN says the American Jewish community cannot maintain its ignorance or high opinion of Israel anymore, especially due to Israel’s rightward shift and extremely fatalistic propaganda war it unleashes on any criticism of it.

FINKELSTEIN = Defines the American Jewish Dilemma = Does the Liberal American Jewish community DEFEND ISRAEL OR ABANDON RIGHT-WING ISRAEL? Does the American Jewish Community maintaining its liberal values that helped it become a prosperous and powerful ethnic group in USA, or abandon liberalism to remove the charge of dual loyalty?

FINKELSTEIN believes the vast majority of American Jews will choose their liberal values and prominent positions in the United States instead of remaining diehard Israel supporters.

2010 The second Intifada = 34-day war with Hizballah, and the massacres of Gaza and the Freedom Flotilla = Catalyst for the American Jewish community to abandon support for Right-Wing Israel in favor of human rights.

FACT: Various polls prove American Jewish support for Israel is constantly decreasing, especially among young adults (younger than 40).

FINKELSTEIN SAYS: “Twenty years ago Israeli soldiers toured US college campuses to be feted by Jewish students as war heroes, now the campus Hillels (campus propagandists for Israel) drag them on tours to persuade Jewish students that Israeli soldiers are not war criminals. Twenty years ago pro-Israel Jewish students aggressively interrogated critics of Israel at public events, now they sit silently in the audience or do not bother to even show up.”

FINKELSTEIN STATES, not all the American Jewish Community will accept the fact Israel is an oppressive occupier = “the likes of Alan Dershowitz will continue to laud Israel’s `generally superb’ human rights record even after Israelis themselves look back upon it with shame.” But (mostly) American Jewish apologists for Israel have had to change their discourse their `scholarly’ approach as they simply cannot manipulate the Jewish community anymore and new forms of propaganda have been developed. = Mostly futile attempts

FINKELSTEIN = Likes to deconstruct `popular’ Jewish literature on specified topics = Jeffrey Goldberg + Dennis Ross + Isabella Ginor + Gideon Remez + Michael Oren + Benny Morris are all analyzed and point by point proven utterly false ALL the new narratives (propaganda) apologizing for Israel’s crimes. Finkelstein documents all the various lies used to cover up various topics such as 1967, Camp David, the Intifadas, and more in order to deceive the readers — A joy seeing all of these lies and distortions completely debunked = Finkelstein at his best in doing his thorough analyses of the topics.

FINKELSTEIN uses his framework of abandoning the American Jewish community to analyze Walt and Mearsheimer’s book “The Israel Lobby” which is correct on many key aspects. But the hyping of the power of the lobby is potentially dangerous giving them too much credit for faking wars.

FINKELSTEIN = discusses Human Rights Watch reports on bombing in Lebanon by Israel pointing out inconsistencies due to Israel’s lobbying pressures that watered down, greatly distorted, and whitewashed what actually happened in the war between Hizballah and Israel. These reports covered up Israel’s massive human rights violations including the dropping of four million cluster munitions in Lebanon in the last days — Proving his point about the Power of the Israel Lobby in the world.

FINKELSTEIN’s work is very detailed and well researched staying true to his consistent scholarly standard with massive sourcing of all facts.
