WALMART LIVES OFF THE BACKS OF WELFARE FROM THE MIDDLE CLASS AND EXTREME 17 CENT/HOUR SLAVERY

WALMART LIVES OFF THE BACKS OF WELFARE FROM THE MIDDLE CLASS AND EXTREME 17 CENT/HOUR SLAVERY

WALMART = EXPLOITS the ‘Poverty Industrial Complex’ of 17 cent/hour labor

WALMART = EXPLOITS THE AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS WELFARE GIVEN TO THEIR UNDERPAID WORKERS IN THE FORM OF FOOD STAMPS AND HEALTH CARE SUPPLEMENTS

THERE ARE 4,835 WALMART STORES IN AMERICA AND EACH ONE COSTS MIDDLE CLASS $904,542/YEAR =  $43.7 BILLION/YEAR

WALMART USES ITS MONOPOLY POSITION TO NEGOTIATE INCREDIBLY LOW PRICES FROM THEIR VENDORS!

Bangladesh

Bangladeshi ELITISTS face tough decisions from rampant abuse of the work force = Government weakening and a disturbing rise in radical Islam = Tens of thousands in Magic Movement protests and strong resentment of the exploitation of garment workers after the country’s worst industrial disaster in its history = fire and collapse of Rana Plaza – shoddy building where sweatshop laborers toiled – collapse took the lives of a shocking 1,127 workers making 17 cents to 26 cents per hour or $38 / month

US public relations nightmare for Gap, Wal-Mart who oppose improved fire and safety regulations in factories and have refused to pay direct compensation to family members of the victims.

Bangladeshi ELITISTS + MULTI-NATIONALS = Injustice stitched into every shirts = BUT DENY THE EXPLOITATION AND SAFETY PROBLEMS!

‘Let them eat cake’ Retail giants threaten closing their operations = Keep 17 cent/ hour workers =  exploited as 21st century slave labor = after cheapest possible production + no safety standards or regulatory oversight

Both the ruling and opposition political forces fail to offer platforms that would significantly contribute to the furtherance of progressive measures to protect workers’ rights and advance the nation’s economic standing.

The hawks of global retail have shed their crocodile tears and paid lip service to safety standards and pledges to enact across-the-board improvements as they did after the Tazreen fires, only to witness Bangladesh’s worst industrial disaster in the space of less than a year.

Walmart And McDonald’s = ‘Welfare Queens’ = Barry Ritholtz

Welfare = Subsidy to corporations that employ low-income workers

As a taxpayer = Much better things I would like to see my monies go towards than welfare to Walmart = Get corporate welfare queens off of the public teat.

“Profitable companies” = Are being “subsidized” by the Middle Class = “corporate welfare queens” = higher profits due to welfare programs = food stamps required for their UNDERPAID WORKERS + HEALTH CARE WELFARE FOR THIER EMERGENCIES.

Ritholz = “these corporations having their full-time employees’ paychecks effectively subsidized by (MIDDLE CLASS) taxpayers.”

Welfare queens are even bigger, richer and less deserving of MIDDLE CLASS taxpayer support = WalMart and McDonald’s = Put their employees on public assistance

American fast food workers = $7 Billion in public assistance = McDonald’s helps employees enroll in state and local assistance programs.

WalMart = Biggest consumer of MIDDLE CLASS taxpayer PAID aid = Largest group of Medicaid recipients + Single biggest group of food stamp recipients = Walmart’s “associates” paid so little they receive $1,000 on average in public assistance.

Why is Walmart being so profitable receiving taxpayer subsidies? Because they can  take advantage of MIDDLE CLASS taxpayers operating within the FIXED law.

SOLUTION = Raise the minimum wage SO EMPLOYEES NO LONGER QUALIFY FOR FOOD STAMPS AND MEDICAID.

BIG SOLUTION = Guarantee every person in America a minimum POVERTY FREE INCOME.

Get corporate welfare queens off of the public teat = NOW!
